Brush & Compost Site

City of Janesville Public Works Department offers CITY RESIDENTS of Janesville a brush & compost site straight North of town, right past the Golf Course on the left side of the road.  This site is for BRUSH & COMPOST only.  Please remove all waste from your plastic bags as we do not accept plastic bags.  Compost is considered grass clippings, leaves, plants and brush.  NO GARBAGE, LUMBER or CONCRETE allowed.  Please be respectful of this site or you could receive a violation.

The hours of this site are Summer months (April - mid November) and closed during the winter months.  Please note the hours are subject to change due to the weather conditions.
